Jens Jakob specializes in IP and unfair competition litigation and counselling. He primarily advises clients in disputes involving trademarks, design, copyright, and passing off/unfair competition as well as trade secrets in a variety of industries, however with a particular focus on life science/pharma, food, design, and automotive/transport industry.
Jens Jakob represents clients before Danish courts, including the Supreme Court, the Court of Justice of the European Union as well as at the Danish Patents and Trade Marks Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office, and handles the co-ordination of proceedings with parallel actions elsewhere in the world.
The range of disputes he has been involved in have included high profile trademark, unfair competition, passing off, copyright, design, anti-counterfeiting and parallel import matters, involving applications for interim injunctions, preservation of evidence and search orders. Jens Jakob has also been appointed by Danske Advokater (the Association of Danish Lawyers), as a member of the Maritime & Commercial High Court’s advisory committee, and he also serves on the Association of Danish Lawyers’ standing committee on IPR matters.
He frequently lectures on IP law, is appointed as chair at IP conferences, and has contributed as author to the comprehensive Danish publication, Dansk Immaterialret, as well as several other publications.
